Usability Testing

  • Can your customers use your website the way you want them to?  Do users of your product understand how it works?   Do users understand the terminology you use on your website or product?  Usability testing can answer these questions.
  • Usability tests are one-on-one interviews during which a respondent uses your product or website while a trained moderator observes  behavior and asks questions to understand the user's mindset, expectations and understanding.
    • Websites are often the subject of usability tests, but many products can benefit from usability testing.
    • Usability tests can occur in a central location (e.g., a usability lab or a focus group facility) or in a customer's home or office.
    • Usability tests are set up with video and audio recording to allow you to watch the testing as it takes place.  Video clips are also a powerful way to demonstrate findings to others in your company.
  • Marketing Insight has conducted hundreds of usability tests on websites, electronics products and automotive products.  We have relationships with usability labs, focus group facilities and videographers who understand usability testing and how to make it successful.
